چکیده

Coffee (Coffea spp.) is the second most significant commodity worldwide, with C. arabica being its representative species. The coffee crop affected by different fungal diseases that reduce photosynthetically active area of leaves and production grains. In order agronomic importance, rust caused biotrophic pathogen Hemileia vastatrix a disease difficult to manage due type reproduction. Another no less important, Thread Blight, basidiomycetes Ceratobasidium noxium (Syn. Corticium koleroga) chavesanum, affects all aerial tissues plants. third disease, Cercospora leaf spot coffeicola, both grains, making it manage. Although there enough scientific information on Rust, very little known about etiology, symptomatology, life cycle, management Blight spot. High-resolution photographs micrographs were used related available information. addition, current each was compiled, that, cycles developed. Likewise, this manuscript describes three based mainly use genetic, cultural, physical, biological, chemical measures their integration as sustainable alternative in agroecosystem. Current future challenges include evaluation cultivars, genetic diversity spp. plant-pathogen interactions, agroecological practices.

Factors affecting the onset of cercospora leaf spot epidemics in sugar beet and establishment of disease-monitoring thresholds.

ABSTRACT Severe Cercospora leaf spots epidemics in sugar beet during the late 1980s and early 1990s in southern Germany prompted us to initiate investigations on the epidemiology of the causal agent, Cercospora beticola. The data set involved 69 field trials (1993 to 2003) focusing on factors affecting the epidemic onset of this disease. Observations were made at weekly intervals, recording the...

The causal organism associated with the disease is Cercospora zeae-maydis. Two potential sibling species have been recognized as Groups I and II. The DNA sequences for the internal transcribed spacers (ITS1 & ITS2), the 5.8S rRNA gene, elongation factor 1-alpha, histo...
